Volunteering
wintercomfort was set up by volunteers in 1990 and would not be able to deliver its highly valued service to the homeless without its dedicated volunteer force.
Many different people from very different backgrounds and of all ages volunteer at wintercomfort in a variety of posts. These roles range from kitchen and coffee bar assistants, music group co-ordinator to the finance volunteer, flag day administrator and IT Tutor and many more.
People volunteer for all sorts of reasons:
- to give something back
- to make new friends
- to gain experience and enhance their CV
At wintercomfort you’ll be treated as a member of our team. There will be no pressure on you to give more time than you decide to give. You will be supported, given training, and invited to meetings and social events run by wintercomfort.
