Overstream Clean is a first class social enterprise providing an efficient, quality cleaning service for businesses in Cambridge and providing skills training to people with experience of or at risk of homelessness. It is an exemplary model of getting people furthest away from employment back into work by developing their self-esteem and confidence and equipping them with work-based skills.
Overstream Clean is run by Wintercomfort for the homeless, a homeless charity based in Cambridge providing a range of services and opportunities.
The successful applicant will need to have experience of supervising people with a positive, can-do attitude, and the ability to relate to hard to reach people. They may have some experience teaching or delivering training whether formally or informally.
Knowledge of cleaning is not a pre-requisite although would be helpful and a willingness to learn is very important. The applicant should be willing to turn a hand to whatever is required, keep cool in a crisis, pay attention to detail and most importantly be able to support our service users to get involved. This is a great opportunity for an experienced supervisor or someone wanting to give something back to the community.
If you would like an informal discussion or further information please call Wintercomfort and ask to speak to Rachel Newell.
