United for Cambridge Sleepout Bedtime Story Competition!
11/2/2021
Are you a great story-teller? Share your talents and take part in our fantastic United for Cambridge Virtual Sleepout Bedtime Story Writing Competition!
This an amazing opportunity to showcase your creative talents and be in with the chance of winning a heap of great prizes. Best of all, the two winning stories (see below for categories) will be read aloud by award-winning children's author Tom Palmer and broadcast to everyone taking part in the Sleepout!
The Cambridge United Virtual Sleepout is a fundraising event (which you can take part in too!) supporting two local charities - Wintercomfort and Cambridge United Community Trust to raise money and awareness to help people facing homelessness in Cambridge.
We’d love your story to be set in Cambridge but apart from that, it can be about anything at all. Poems and picture books will also be very welcome. And remember that whilst the maximum length is 500 words, we don't mind at all if your piece is much shorter. After all, good things often come in small packages!
