Cleaning Supervisor Job Description (PDF)

Wintercomfort supports those with experience of homelessness by offering essential welfare services, social, learning and work opportunities to enable people to achieve their potential. Overstream Clean is part of Wintercomfort and is a business providing efficient, quality cleaning, gardening and garden maintenance services in and close to Cambridge city. The business provides skills training and gives volunteering and paid work opportunities to people with experience, or at risk, of homelessness.

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to run the cleaning and gardening business. The role involves managing the team of operatives, and reporting to the Business Manager. The key objectives for the role are to ensure that we maximise the opportunities to our service users for volunteering and paid work, to maximise the commercial margin we make from the business, and to ensure that we record the work that we do and the social outcomes we achieve.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of supervising people with a positive, can-do attitude, and the ability to relate to hard-to-reach people. Knowledge of cleaning and gardening is not a pre-requisite although would be helpful, but a willingness to learn is very important.

If you would like an informal discussion or further information, please call Wintercomfort and ask to speak to Dominic Bowles, Business Manager. Visits to Wintercomfort as part of the application process are also welcomed.
