We are delighted to announce that HCR Law have chosen to support Wintercomfort as their charitable partner throughout 2023.

The Harrison Clark Rickerbys (HCR) Charitable Trust makes a difference to people’s lives through our donations to good causes around the organisation’s ten offices across the country. Set up in 2007, the Trust has given more than £250,000 to good causes of all kinds, from local football teams needing new kit to the refurbishment of facilities for cancer patients.

As HCR’s Alice Gathern explained, the cost-of-living crisis and increasing homelessness in Cambridge were the key factors in choosing to support Wintercomfort this year.

“The cost of living crisis is expected to affect many, whilst we are only just recovering from the COVID Pandemic. The increased stress on families to keep a roof over their head and food on the table is very concerning. Wintercomfort is a charity at the heart of Cambridge who are well positioned to help those who may be affected and we want to support them throughout 2023 to help reach those most in need.”

Following a meeting with the charity team, Fundraising Manager Melody Brooker was delighted to hear of the organisations plans for the year.

“The different offices across the HCR network compete to see which team can raise the most money for their respective charities. The Cambridge team have lots of exciting activities planned for the months ahead and we can’t wait to work with them in their fundraising journey!”
