Rough sleepers in the city can visit the day service at Wintercomfort, every day of the year and use our shower and laundry services. With the amount of people sadly needing these facilities, we became very conscious of the plastic waste single use shower gels and shampoos were making and started to look at more sustainable alternatives.

Last year we partnered with the Daily Bread Co-operative and launched a pay it forward refill scheme with the hope that we would be able to ditch single use plastic bottles and instead use refills for our shower gel and shampoo.

Thanks to the amazing Daily Bread customers who have so generously supported this initiative, this year we are able to also include pay it forward refill laundry liquid.

This has enabled us to provide lovely smelling toiletries for people accessing support at our centre, as well as helping us reduce waste and become as plastic free as possible.
